German was my first language, insofar as you speak anything at the age of two. Even then, I used to do translations between English and German, sometimes amusingly fusing the two languages. So, I feel comfortable within the German language.

French I learnt at school, at university and during a stay and attendance at a commercial school in Geneva, Switzerland. I’m pretty well versed in French grammar, possibly more than many native French-speakers.

Genghis Khan was a mighty task of translation from French. From Both Sides Now was an equally mighty task of translating WWI war diaries, letter and documents from German.

If you want a translation from either of these languages, give me a call and we’ll see how I can help you.

Vielen Dank, merci beaucoup …
